Prime International Institute of Excellence (“PIIE”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 of Uganda and its Regulations.
We collect information you provide directly, including: your name, email address, phone number, country, gender, academic qualifications and programme of interest when you submit an enquiry, application or subscription; and payment information when you pay fees (processed securely by our payment provider — we do not store full card details).
We use your information to: process your enquiry or application; communicate with you about admissions, programmes and your studies; process payments; send you updates, announcements and (where you have opted in) marketing messages; and improve our services. We rely on your consent and our legitimate interest as an educational institution.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with: our affiliated and partner institutions for the purpose of delivering accredited awards; our technology and payment service providers strictly to operate this service; and authorities where required by law.
If you join our mailing list or contact us, we may send you relevant updates and offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us. You can also ask us to stop WhatsApp or SMS messages at any time.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure transmission (HTTPS), access controls and limiting who can view personal information. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law and regulatory obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent.
